Hello everyone! With the launch of our agency in Missouri It’s time to start our blogging adventure. Here’s a good topic to start with. Client Communication.
When making Aries, our first goal was to create the best client communication in the industry. I personally feel that the majority of agencies in the United States really don’t understand the importance of talking to people, making a business relationship, and genuinely caring for the people you do work for.
I should explain what I mean by “client communication”. It’s more than answering a phone call, giving a simple case update or just completing the case and being like “there ya go!”. Yes, people like results but you can do a whole lot more . It’s also no secret investigators are in the service industry and not every case goes as well as you or the client/customer hopes for.
Here are some great reasons why having top notch communication is a benefit:
- Repeat business and referrals – What happens when you do good work for someone, stay positive, and bring the best possible results? You’re going to be recommended in the future. Family, friends, other businesses.. they trust their contacts and relationships and your agency name will be the first one that comes up when they encounter a problem. It also means the next time they have a issue that needs your professional touch your phone will light up.
- Growing your network – Meeting people is a great thing. People will always need investigators, but you will also be in a situation where making a connection could save your case, life, or just be a great resource for the future. The world is a diverse place and people are all good at different things. I have made many friends/connections in this industry and I can’t wait to meet more.
- Positive company feedback – Yes, there are other more obvious benefits. Positive reviews on google/social media, testimonials. These are essential for a growing company.
- It’s the right thing to do – I know if I hired an investigator, I’d want to be kept in the loop for anything that’s important. Actually seeing an investigator who cares about my case and is really pushing for a good outcome is the only way to do things.
- When things go bad -Yep, we aren’t perfect. Turns out nobody is. There is also a misconception with regards to why some cases go wrong. A lot of times, it is the investigators fault. This line of work is not easy and it’s also why we don’t charge 20 dollars a hour. It could also be information wasn’t given to us correctly, random elements (such a a light turning red, a cop pulling you over or making you, etc) and a ton of other reasons. The fact is, if you stay positive and keep the client as a top priority and explain what happened it will turn out a lot better for both of you in the long run.
Those are the main reasons why simply talking to the client and keeping them priority #1 can really benefit you.
